Obituary
 
Howell M. “Tony” White age 84, of Glennville
passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at his
residence surrounded by his family and under
the care of Living Care Hospice. The Darien
native lived in Orlando, Florida for thirty years
before retiring to Shellman Bluff in 1984 and
recently moved to Glennville. He was retired
from Central Truck Lines after thirty years of
service and was an US Navy Veteran. Mr.
White was a Deacon at Shellman Bluff Baptist
Church and loved car racing and being on the water.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howell and Alma White and a sister, Bobbie
Hutchinson.
 
Mr. White is survived by his wife of 62years, Mrs. Christine Faircloth White of Glennville;
Son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Lorraine White of Crescent; Daughter and son-in-law,
Toni and Mike O’Berry of Glennville; Sister, Irma “Pug” Hutchinson of Shellman Bluff;
Five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
 
Visitation and Funeral Services
 
Visitation will begin at 1:00pm Sunday, April 15, 2012 from the Shellman Bluff Baptist
Church with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm with the Reverends Andy Hayman,
Dempsey Golden, and Bob Briley officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery
with Military Honors rendered.
 
Pallbearers will be Chuck Hutchinson, Kent Hutchinson, Ron Rozier, Will White, Rusty
Bailey and Hugh Hooks.
 
Honorary pallbearers will be The Deacons of Shellman Bluff Baptist Church and Ed Deal.

Memorials may be given to The Shellman Bluff Baptist Church, 1282 Sutherland Bluff Dr. NE. Townsend, GA. 31331.
