Ann Sermons, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her home. She was born on December 21, 1954, in Claxton to Howard Ishmel and Evelyn Doris Brazell Thompson and had lived in Evans County all of her life.
Throughout her years, Ann's pride and joy resided in her children and grandchildren, whom she adored unconditionally. In addition to her role as a devoted grandmother, Ann had a passion for crochet, often gifting her handmade creations to friends and family, each piece a testament to her creativity and thoughtfulness.
She was of the Methodist faith and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ricky Sermons; her grandson, Gabriel Sermons; her siblings, Doris Dennis, Robert Thompson, Allen Thompson, Donald Thompson, Henry Thompson, Becky Anderson, and Harry Thompson.
Ann is survived by her children, James Sermons, Tiffany Williams, Russell (Nathalia) Sermons and Alex Hagan all of Claxton; her siblings, James (Janie) Thompson of Claxton, Betty Thompson Tapley of Waynesboro, and Janie (Terry) Ball of Claxton; grandchildren, Nickolus Hubbard, Sean Sermons, Maygen (Cole) Clements, Mollie Taylor, Aiden Sermons, Aubriella Sermons, Alexia Sermons, Xander Hagan, Carmine Cribb, Jazmine Cribb, and Matthew Cribb; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 beginning at 10:00am with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am from the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverend Mike Gay officiating. Interment will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Derek Emanuel, Allen Thompson, Seth Anderson, Terry Ball, Larry Blocker, and Kelly Tayor.
