Barbara Ann Belinda Singleton Davis, age 64, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. She was born in Vidalia, Georgia, to the late Nathaniel Stone and Myrtice Hart and grew up in Toombs County, where she attended the Toombs County school system.
Following graduation, Barbara found her calling in food service, a career that spanned decades and touched countless lives. She worked at Vidalia High School and Shoney’s before ultimately retiring after more than 20 years with Western Sizzlin. Her passion for food service carried into her personal life, as one of her favorite pastimes was dining out, especially enjoying seafood at Red Lobster.
Barbara lived life with joy and energy. She loved “dipping,” whether gliding across the dance floor or enjoying her favorite can of CC Sweet Snuff. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted and longtime member of St. Paul AME Church in Vidalia. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Francis and Dianne Williams; and a niece, Tammy Preston.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Danika (Marquis) Foreman and Tyrone (Lasheka Bell) Singleton; her chosen daughter, Demetri Anthony; seven grandchildren, Destiney, Markeyia, Marquis, Tyrah, Jovell, Tyrone Jr., and Cameron; her husband, Robert Davis; her brother, Grady (Sarah) Hart; two sisters, Angela (Craig) Francis and Valerie (Ray) Hines; special friend, Dexter Harden; four uncles, Nathaniel Hart Jr., Clent Hart Jr., Eddie Lee (Rose) Singleton, and Leroy “Limbo” Smith; ten aunts, Ruby (Lester) Williams, Ruthera Phillips, Ilean Clark, Lena Wilson, Betty Johnson, Deborah Green, Brinda Hall, Emma Hart, Shirley Booker, and Lorene Singleton. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends during visitation on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at St. Paul AME Church, 304 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Vidalia, GA, with Pastor Ronald Miller officiating. Interment will follow in East Park Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Meshon Preston, Terrell Preston, Monta Cooper, Grady Hart Jr., Greg Singleton Jr., and Craig Singleton Jr.
