Bernie Johnson

Bernie Ronald Johnson Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as Ron, passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on June 24, 1976, Ron was a longtime resident of East Dublin and will be remembered for his steady presence, warm spirit, and the love he held for his family and friends.

An avid pool player, Ron was a proud member of the APA Pool League and spent countless hours at the Hideaway Pool Hall in East Dublin, where friendships were formed and memories made. Before his illness, Ron worked as a welder with Sweats Portable Buildings in Wrightsville, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and hands-on skill. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ann Johnson and Ronnie Johnson. Ron will be remembered as a man who valued family, friendship, and simple moments shared with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his devoted wife, Amanda Johnson; eight children and stepchildren, Matthew Johnson (Lea), Quinton Johnson (Brittany), Rebekah Johnson, Courtney Wilkerson, Rhanen McElhaney, Kain Sillitoe (Trinity), Landon Sims, and Jakson Sims; two grandchildren, Kai Hofer and Addison Dickey; four siblings, Allen Bryson, Ronda Jean Hightower (Tim), Ricky Ricks, and Dennis Johnson (Kelli), along with extended family members and many friends who were blessed to know him.

Plans for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
