Bessie Lynn Moore, passed away peacefully at her home sitting in her recliner watching her favorite tv show, The Wheel of Fortune on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on January 25, 1938, in Collins to James Alvin and Rebecca Martin Lynn and had lived in Tattnall County most of her life.

Throughout her career, Bessie skillfully combined her passions as a seamstress and a farmer, always ensuring her family had what they needed. She approached her work with a remarkable spirit and creativity that defined her life. Among her many interests, she found joy in fishing, gardening, and embroidery, which were not only hobbies but true expressions of her artistic nature.

One of her proudest accomplishments came when she earned her GED at the age of 63, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth. Bessie’s tenacity and resolve to better herself was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is a member of Connection Point Church and is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mona Lisa Andrews; her grandson, Joshua James Andrews; her siblings, Margaret Hutcheson, Annette Knowles, Allen Lynn and Laura Bacon.

She is survived by her children, Ricky (Bonnie) Andrews, Abbie Dubberly and Darren Lee (Angie) Jones all of Collins; her siblings, Bonnell Reese of Collins, Charles Lynn of Augusta, Linda McDilda of Lyons, and Wayne (Tena) Lynn of Collins; her grandchildren, Johnnie Wayne Andrews, Christopher Dubberly, Crystal Dubberly, Ryley Jones Boyett, and Cole Lee Jones; 7 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Thursday, May 15, 2025, with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am from the chapel of the Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverends Mike Palma and Rob Shore officiating.  Interment will be in Battle Creek Church Cemetery,

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Moody, Cole Lee Jones, Cade Andrews, CJ Dubberly, Johnnie Andrews and Hunter Boyett.

Memorials may be given to Tattnall CARES.
