Obituary

Bobbie H. Waters passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 2, 2011,surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 17, 1929 in the Kellis Store Community, Mississippi to J.W. and Hessie Hailey. She moved to Tattnall County in1948, and began a 52 year career as a beautician, establishing “Bobbie’s Beauty Shop and fostering many long term friendships. Miss Bobbie was a member of Reidsville Baptist Church and established the Faith Sunday School Class. One of her proudest accomplishments, regarding her church, was research of the church history and the subsequent presentation of that history to the Church congregation in 1982. As an avid researcher in genealogy, she was never at a loss for words regarding her family history. She was a member of the Tattnall County Historical Preservation Society and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Wendell Waters of Reidsville. Children, Jerome Lynn of Reidsville. Jim (Kathleen) Lynn of Preston, MS, Wanda and David Ohare of Manawa, WI, Henry Denzil (Mary) Sapp, Jr. of Oviedo, FL.; Sister, Guynell Duncan of Preston, MS. Fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins also survive. Miss Bobbie touched many lives everywhere and her presence will be missed by all that knew her.
