Brenda Driggers Swain

Brenda Driggers Swain, age 80, passed away at her home on Sunday February 25, 2024, under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.  Brenda was born on September 13, 1943, to her parents Clifton and Veda Mae Ray Driggers in Glennville where she had lived most of her life.

Brenda's life was marked by her dedication to nurturing and caring for children in her community. She was the proud owner and operator of several daycare centers, including Kiddie Land, Little Acorn, and Brenda's Nursery. In addition to these endeavors, she also served as the Daycare Director at Glennville Christian Academy. Aside from her professional achievements, Brenda was known for her warm personality and unwavering faith. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and found joy in gardening and tending to her plants.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Stanley Junior Swain.

Brenda is survived by her loving children, Pamela Swain and Keith (LizAnn) Swain, all of Glennville; her siblings: AnnaDean (JW) Sapp of Brunswick, Edward (Deanna) Driggers of Glennville, Martha (Rev. Richard) Kemp of Brunswick, and Diane (Lewis) Waters of Claxton. Brenda's memory will be cherished by her grandchildren: Ben Swain, Chloe Swain, Natasha Cribbs, and Rhett Butler, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Glennville Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 2:30pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Smyrna Baptist Church with Mr. Keith Swain, Reverends Mike Gay and Richard Kemp officiating.  Interment will be in the Beards Creek Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Swain, Lee Wasson, Jay Conley, Cliff Conley, Daniel Driggers, and Rhett Butler.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Johnson, Travis Johnson, Wendell Johnson and Aaron Sapp.

Memorials may be given to Smyrna Baptist Church, 1296 Old Highway 250, Glennville, GA 30427.
