Carl Braddy, age 82, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at The Oaks at Bethany in Vidalia.  The lifelong Toombs County resident was born in Lyons on October 31, 1943, to MA and Elizabeth Braddy.

Carl lived a life marked by steady work, faith, and a genuine enjoyment of each day. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1961 and went on to spend all of his working years as a farmer. He also served as a deacon at Elza Baptist Church, a role that spoke to the importance of his faith and his willingness to serve his church community.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bill, Jim and Bob Braddy.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Peggy Braddy of Lyons; his son and daughter in law, Richard and Karen Braddy of Lyons; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Pam Braddy of Vidalia; grandsons, Bryce and Carson Braddy of Lyons; several nieces and nephews
