Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn S. Rewis, a loving and devoted wife,
mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away
Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Ogeechee Area
Hospice in Statesboro at the age of 82. The Tattnall County
native had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was retired
from Federal Civil Service working at Fort Stewart for thirty
years. Mrs. Rewis was a member of the Reidsville United
Methodist Church where she was a member of the Choir
and was a MYF leader for many years. She was Cub Scout
Den Mother and a member of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her
husband, Charles K. Rewis, brothers, Bill and Jack Strickland; sisters, Jacquelyn
Bradt and Latrelle Troup.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters in law, Eddie and Penny Rewis of Reidsville,
Teddy and Kay Rewis of Jackson, GA. Five grandchildren, Corrie Rewis Gee, Kasie Rewis,
Josh Rewis, Russell Rewis and Misti-Dawn Rewis. Great grandchildren, Samford and Sadie
Ruth Gee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from the
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday, October 1, 2010 from the
Reidsville United Methodist Church with the Reverends Marc Foster and Sterling
Bargeron officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Bill, Henry, Jim, and Jackie Strickland, Bobby Bradt and Dr. Chris Troup.

Memorials may be given to the Reidsville United Methodist Choir, 123 Brazell St., Reidsville,
GA. 30453 or Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo St. Statesboro, GA 30458
