In Loving Memory of Cheryl Lynn Roth August 23, 1953 – June 1, 2026

 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Lynn Roth, who entered eternal rest on June 1, 2026 at the age of 72. Cheryl spent her last year at Altamaha Nursing Facility in Jesup, Georgia.

 Cheryl was born on August 23rd, 1953 in Savannah, Georgia to Theodore John and Billie L. Roth. Throughout her life, Cheryl was known for her love of family. Cheryl dedicated her life to her only child, James (Jimmy) Melvin Nichols, III who preceded her in death 3 years ago. She began her career as an interior decorator and spent many years as a dental hygienist. 

Cheryl is survived by her three loving, sisters: Robin Perry, Kathy Lariscy, and Cindy Summers. She also leaves behind a loving and devoted niece, Christina Monroe, who gave her so much joy in her last two years. She has one grandson, James Melvin Nichols, the IV and four nephews: Larry Lewis, Jr. (Mandi), Robbie Fisk, Ryan Fisk (Sarah), Ben Lariscy (Heather), and many great grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her precious and loving son Jimmy, Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Billie Roth, Niece, Amber Hinely, and Nephew, Lee Lariscy.

 The family would like to add a special thank you for the wonderful care given to Cheryl at Altamaha Nursing facility in Jesup, Ga. Also, many thanks to Mari Lee and Patricia Lamb at Georgia Hospice who made Cheryl’s Heavenly home-going so much easier for her and her family.

 A private service will be held with family with interment at Newton Cemetery in Pooler, Georgia. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Cheryl’s memory. Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Roth family.
