Claire Crews, 72, of Macon, Georgia passed away on April 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Clara Mae Stewart on January 11, 1951, in Macon, Georgia to Turner Howard Stewart and Mary Lucille Stewart. Claire was a homemaker who lived for her family, and her heart grew with each child and grandchild she had.
Claire fought a courageous battle with cancer and was fully healed when she left this world and met her Savior face to face. Her presence will be sorely missed, but her love will live on with all of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She was a precious lady who will be remembered for her kind heart, loving spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Claire is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ray Crews, and her children, Wesley( Heather) Crews, Brandon (Zora) Crews, Melandie (Johnny) Ogletree, Kendall Crews, Misty Banknell, whom she claimed as hers, as well as her nephew, Major (Sheila) Crews, who she loved like a son. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Whitney Crews, Madison (Jordan) Ogles, Emma Claire Ogletree, and Kinnidi Faulkner, grandsons Joshua (Rebecca) Godwin, Colby (Haley) Crews, Ethan Crews, Xander Crews, Landon Crews, Gavin (Haley) Shores and Justis Faulkner, great-grandchildren Elijah Turner Crews, Jensen Stewart Crews, Orion Shores, and Gatlynn Godwin,
Claire is also survived by her loving brothers Ray Stewart and Steven Stewart, and a sister, Mary Ann Stewart, special part of her family Michelle Chambers, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Claire was of the Baptist faith.
A private family memorial service will be held to celebrate Claire's life.
