Clara Gale Tapley

Clara Gale Tapley, age 72, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at The Oaks/Bethany in Vidalia.  She was born March 2, 1949, in Vidalia to Denton Duston Tapley, Sr. and Bessie Whitaker Tapley and had lived in Toombs County most of her life.  She was a 1967 Vidalia High School graduate and had received her Register Nursing License.  Gale worked as a nurse for 23 years retiring due to her declining health. She is Baptist by faith and is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jack W. Tapley and Bobby H. Tapley; nephews, Roderick Tapley and David Tapley Kight.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Rollison Boyd of Albany and Desmond Robert Schneider of Macon; siblings, Dustin Tapley, Jr and his wife Betty and Dale Tapley Edwards all of Vidalia; grandchildren, John Glen Boyd and his wife Robin of Beaufort, SC and William Robert Boyd and his wife Hannah of Greenville, SC; sisters in law, Jean Tapley of Vidalia and Elizabeth Tapley of Peachtree City, GA; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from the hours of 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Downtown Bistro at 101 East Meadows Street in Vidalia.
