Clarence Lee Hall Sr. (Teddy Bear) was born on February 4, 1950, in Claxton, Georgia, to the late Clifford Hall Sr. and Pearlie Smith Hall. He entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2026, at Candler County Hospital in Metter, Georgia.

Clarence was educated in the Tattnall County School System and graduated from Tattnall Industrial High School. He made a career in the trucking industry and was last employed with Triangle J Inc. before his illness.

Clarence accepted Christ and joined New Bethaven Primitive Baptist Church. He later moved his membership to Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.

On May 2, 1970, Clarence was joined in holy matrimony to Gracie Pough Hall. Their union was blessed with four children.

Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Hall Sr. and Pearlie Smith Hall; his brothers, Clifford Hall Jr., Wallace Hall, Curtis Hall, Harold Hall Sr., and Harry Hall; and his sister, Joyce Hall.


Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 56 years, Gracie Hall; two sons, Ron Christopher Hall of Snellville, Georgia, and Clarence Lee Hall Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; and two daughters, Rhonda Machelle (Godwin) Stephen and Melissa Juan (Sylandow) Dyer, both of Covington, Georgia.

He is also survived by four brothers, Sylvester Hall of Vidalia, Georgia, Willie James (Verlie) Wright of College Park, Georgia, Remer (Vanessa) Hall of Vidalia, Georgia, and Robert (Melissa) Hall of Augusta, Georgia; and three sisters, Delores (James) Cook of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Sarah (Lamont) Garrison of Hinesville, Georgia, and Annette (Steven) Black of Collins, Georgia.

He also leaves to cherish his memory three brothers-in-law, Timothy (Shirley) Pough of Dallas, Texas, Roosevelt Pough of Savannah, Georgia, and Michael Pough of Collins, Georgia; three aunts, Ruby (Roy) Gregg of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Naomi Richardson of Tampa, Florida, and Daisy Anthony of Miami, Florida; and one uncle, Larry Rhynes of Collins, Georgia.

Vistiation is scheduled for Friday, Septemeber 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 5920 GA Hwy 292 Collins GA, with Rev. Otto Lewis, Eulogist and Rev. Brenda Brown, Presiding.

Interment will follow in Bethel AME Church Cemetery following the conclusion of services.
