Daniel "Danny" Joseph Johansen, Sr.

Daniel “Danny” Johansen, Sr. age 78, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Savannah on December 4, 1944 to Thor M. and Theresa Myers Johansen and had lived in Wilmington Island for many years before moving to Tattnall County in 1996.  He had worked for many years with Tronox, Inc with the Maintenance Department.   Danny enjoyed woodworking, tractors, fishing and crabbing.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Futch and Gloria Schnupptr.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carla Johansen of Reidsville; his children, Joey (Tiffany) Johansen of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher Johansen and Damien Johansen both of Reidsville; brother, Thor (Esther) Johansen, Jr. of Wilmington Island; 2 grandchildren, Justin and Laela Johansen.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Johansen family.
