Obituary

Dempsey Lemuel Holloway, age 80 , passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011, at his residence surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. Holloway was a native of Candler County and had lived in Bryan County for many years. He served in the United States Navy and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survived by wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Holloway;  three sons, Dempsey G. Holloway and Mark Holloway of Savannah; Clayton Holloway of Rincon; three daughters, Cheryl Peluso of Midway; Jeannie Russell of Tennessee; and Donna Holloway of Ellabell; a sister, Doris Allen of Port wentworth; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Stillmore United Methodist Church in Stillmore, GA.

Preferred memorials and donations

Remembrances may be made to your local Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
