Dianna Sue “Susie” Webb, age 57, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, under the compassionate care of Community Hospice following a brief illness. She was born on November 5, 1968, in Millington, Tennessee, to Henry P. and Jacqueline Martin Friend. Her family moved to Tattnall County in 1981, where she attended school and later graduated from Reidsville High School. Not long after graduation, she would meet the love of her life in a way neither of them could have planned. Her mother had been helping Larry Webb care for his young son as the child’s babysitter, and through those visits, Susie and Larry began spending time together. What started as a simple friendship grew into love, and the two would eventually marry and build a life and family together.

Susie had a kind heart and a special love for children. She spent much of her working life in the Tattnall and Toombs County School Systems, serving in different roles, including substitute teaching. The work closest to her heart was being a paraprofessional, helping children with special needs. She had a caring way about her and enjoyed being able to make a difference in the lives of the children she worked with.

When she wasn't working, Susie enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to crochet and could often be found working on her latest project while watching the old game shows on Game Show Network or one of her favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. She was happiest just being at home, doing the things she loved.

As the years went by, spending time with her grandchildren became her greatest joy. She loved having them around and took every chance she could to spend time with them. Of course, a visit to Grandma's house often meant something good to eat. Her beef and noodles were a family favorite, and everybody knew one thing for certain: it was never going to come out of a box of Hamburger Helper! Those meals, the laughter, and the time spent together are memories her family will always hold dear. Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry D. Webb, Sr.; a beloved son, Larry Webb, Jr.; her parents; and two brothers, Dwayne Friend and Jimmy Friend.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her children, Andy Webb, and Kayla (Mitchell) Hatfield, and Connie (Filimon) Mendoza, all of Vidalia; five grandchildren, Jordan, Adrian, Lucy, Aubrey, and Pablo; one brother, Paul Friend of Indiana; three sisters, Lynett (Jerry) Turner of Brunswick, Penny Stewart of Indiana, and Emily (Cesar) Hernandez of Reidsville. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial. Interment will follow in Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Cesar Hernandez, Filimon Mendoza, Mitchell Hatfield, Martin Hernandez, Emerson Hernandez, and Paul Friend.
