Doug was born February 28, 1955 in Albany, NY, son of the late David Yagel and Geraldine (Dasher) Miller.  He grew up in Connecticut and graduated from New Canaan High School in 1973 and went on to attendHartwick College in Oneonta, NY.  He was an employee of Cigna for 34 years before retiring in 2018.

He was predeceased by his parents David and Geraldine Miller, Father & Mother in-law Raymond Carl and Rose Marie Rieber; and brother-in-law Raymond M. Rieber.   In addition to his wife and children, Doug is survived by sisters Nancy Tiedemann; Patricia (Kevin) Dillon, and Susan (Bob) Roth; in-laws Michael (Jeanne) Rieber; Debra Rieber; Vivian (Ted) Stanek; and Christine McArdle.    He also leaves 9 nieces and 9 nephews as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews, and numerous cousins.

A private service was held for Doug in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

He will be laid to rest alongside his parents, grandparents, and great grandparents at the Rome Primitive Baptists Church cemetery in Collins, GA at a later date.
