Eddie James Charles

Eddie James Charles, age 80, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Candler County Hospital in Metter.  He was born May 28, 1941 to Eddie James and Betty Hayes Charles.  He lived in Baldwin, FL many years moving to Glennville in 2010.  Mr. Eddie worked in pulp wood all of his working career.  He loved to go shopping, collecting guns, cars, and taking long drives.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eddie James Wallace; niece, April McQueen and a nephew, Bobby Lee Wallace.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Betty Charles and Charles Grant of Glennville; step children, LaGranda Graham of Warner Robbins and Edward Coley, JR of Sacramento, CA; nieces and nephews, Shirley Thomas of Woodland Hills, CA, Eddie James Wallace, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, Irene Wallace of St. Petersburg, Fl, Shelly Ann Wallace of Clearwater, FL, and Jerry Wallace of Lakeland, GA; several great nieces and nephews; special friend, Glynda Harrell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday from the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
