February 14, 1943 — August 9, 2025

Reidsville

Faye B. Harvey, age 82, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Collins on February 14, 1943, to Beaul and Rilla Mae Beasley and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. Faye was a remarkable woman known for her unwavering dedication to her family, her successful career, and her profound love for the simple joys in life.

Faye and her husband, Jerry, owned and operated a Cotton States Insurance franchise for many years, serving the communities of Claxton and Glennville. They were well-respected in the industry, renowned for their thoroughness and attention to detail. Their commitment to their clients left a lasting impact on countless lives, showcasing their devotion not just to their work, but also to fostering trust and support for those they served.

A graduate of Reidsville High School, class of 1961, Faye embraced a lifelong passion for learning and personal growth. She was an avid reader, with Max Lucado's books among her favorites, reflecting her gentle spirit and thoughtful nature. Faye found joy in playing the piano, a cherished pastime that allowed her to express her creativity and love for music. She also took great pleasure in tending to her garden, particularly her beautiful roses, and maintaining her swimming pool—a sanctuary where she could relax and enjoy the warmth of the sun.

Faye's family was the cornerstone of her life. Her husband Jerry, who passed away after 60 years of marriage, held a special place in her heart. The deep bond they shared was evident to all who knew them, and Faye often expressed that part of her heart departed with him. Now, reunited once again, they are together in eternal peace.

Faye was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Claxton and is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Harvey.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina H. Wells, Tonia H. Fletcher, and Tammy D. Harvey; her sister, Shirley Ann Loftin; her grandson, Corey Wells; her special friends, Jessica Cauley, Molly and Ralph Kemp and families, and Patsy and Ed Driggers and family.
