Francisca Villaneda Mendiola

Francisca Villaneda Mendiola passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023, at her home in Glennville. She was born on October 3, 1965, in Mexico, to the late Thomas Villaneda and Dionica Mendiola Puent.

Francisca was a woman known for her unwavering love for her family. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones and always made it a priority to bring joy into their lives. Her warm smile and kind heart were constant sources of comfort and guidance to those around her.

Education played an important role in Francisca's life, and she graduated from High School in Mexico. She valued knowledge and instilled this passion within her children as well.

In her spare time, Francisca found joy in playing games like Candy Crush and participating in online lotteries on Facebook. She also had a deep appreciation for music, finding solace and inspiration in its melodies.

Francisca was a woman of faith and held strong beliefs as a devoted Catholic. Her spirituality guided her through life's ups and downs, providing her with inner strength and peace.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to resonate within each member of her family for generations to come. Her husband of 23 years, Miguel M. Chihuahua of Glennville; her children, Juan Manuel Villaneda of Florida, Ana Laura Ruiz of Glennville, and Alberto Ruiz of Portal; siblings Lazaro Villaneda of Florida, Elisa Villaneda Linares of McCrae, Sylvia Villaneda, and Ernesto Villaneda both of Florida; along with 14 grandchildren will forever cherish the memories they created together. Francisca is also preceded in death by her son, Ivan Ruiz.

In memory of Francisca Villaneda Mendiola, her family will be hosting several events to celebrate her life. The visitation will take place on August 13, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at The Glennville Funeral Home located at 403 W. Barnard Street, Glennville, GA, 30427. A Mass will be held on August 14, 2023, at 2:00 PM at St Jude Catholic Church on 911 N Veterans Blvd, Glennville, GA, 30427. Following the Mass, Francisca will be laid to rest in the Reidsville City Cemetery on Smith Ave, Reidsville, GA, 30453.
