George "Buster" Howard Glasco, Jr.

George “Buster” Howard Glasco Jr., 69 resident of Brunswick, GA passed away February 26, 2026 at Savanna Memorial Hospital, GA after a sudden illness. Buster was born on February 24, 1957 to parents George H. Sr. and Wanda (Botkin) Glasco. He was born in Lima, OH but spent his childhood through early adulthood in Buffalo, WV. A 1975 graduate of Buffalo High School; he was a standout athlete in football and basketball. He lived many years in Ripley, WV where he was employed in the Oil and Gas Drilling Industry. Later he retired to Brunswick, GA with his loving companion Lisa and their fur baby Bucky, he spent many days on the pier fishing and loving life by the water. He also loved WVU Football, hunting but most of all enjoying time with his son and grandsons.

He is survived by his long-term companion, Lisa Hanshaw of Brunswick, GA; son, Joshua H, Glasco (wife Nicole); grandsons, Cale, Blake and Bryson Glasco of Kenna, WV; mother, Wanda Shafer of Winfield, WV; sister, Dreama Glasco of Winfield, WV and brother, Edward Glasco of Millersburg, OH. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and an abundance of friends. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Shafer.

The family would like to express their immense gratitude to Low Country Cremation and Burial Funeral Home in Reidsville, GA with their assistance in his arrangements. Buster’s wishes were to be cremated, and ashes spread in Pocahontas County, WV where he loved to trout fish. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
