George Edward Rainey

Mr. George Edward Rainey, age 71, passed away December 29, 2025 at his home located in Eastman, GA. Mr. Rainey fought a hard fight and was loved dearly by his family. 

He was the fiancé of Ms. Peggy Peacock of Eastman and the former spouse of Ms. Vivian Rainey, also of Eastman. Mr. Rainey had several children which include Vicki Sanford (Daniel May) of East Dublin, Monica (Katie) Peacock, and Kourtney (Dustin) Thigpen, both of Dublin. Brooke Peacock (Calan Brantley), Micheal Rainey, and Ben (Clarissa) Evans, all of Eastman. Kyle (Brooke) Peacock of Milan. Mac (Jennifer) Rainey of Workmore, and Mark Rainey of McRae. Sister Margaret (JB) Floyd of Alamo and his beloved furbabies Chico and Maggie. George also leaves behind lots and lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, too many to name. 

He was passionate about the outdoors and was an avid dog lover. Over his lifetime he raised numerous dogs and was know by his family as the dog man and Papa George. George also loved to sing and write songs that touched his family in more ways than one. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.
