Glenda Gail Sikes, age 71, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Tattnall Healthcare in Reidsville. Born on May 17, 1952, in Claxton, Gail lived most of her life in Tattnall County. Throughout her career, Gail served as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the Georgia Department of Corrections. Her dedication to her profession and commitment to helping others made a significant impact on the lives of those she cared for. Gail's kindness knew no bounds, and she approached her work with empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference. Beyond her professional achievements, Gail had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought joy to her life. She had a passion for crocheting, sewing, and crafting. She was a member of Hope Baptist Church. Gail was preceded in death by her parents Peyton and Gladys Scott Sikes and her brothers Wendall and Allen Sikes.
Gail is survived by her children: Reba Sikes (Ryan) Mangrum of the Caribbeans, James Oliver Collins of Reidsville, and John Conley (Hillary) Collins of South Carolina; her grandchildren: Skylor Lau, Dylanne Lau, LuLu Mangrum, Lillian Collins, Peyton Mangrum, Manning, Titus, Ruger, and Scout Collins; several nieces and nephews
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Gail's life will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Mount Carmel Methodist Church Cemetery in Collins. The service will begin at 2:00 PM.
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Sikes family.
