Glenn Brown, Sr., age 65, of Reidsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, under the compassionate care of Community Hospice. A native of Tattnall County, Glenn was born on March 20, 1961, to the late Lenton Brown, Sr. and Katie Lee Sharpe Brown. He was raised in Reidsville, where he spent his formative years and built the foundation of a life defined by hard work, dedication, and loyalty to those he loved.
Following his education, Glenn proudly served his country as a member of the Georgia National Guard. A man of many talents, he possessed exceptional skill in construction trades, mastering everything from welding to plumbing. His work ethic and expertise led him to opportunities later in life with a defense contractor, where he contributed to rebuilding efforts in Afghanistan for several years, work he took great pride in.
Outside of his career, Glenn found joy in the simple things. He loved fishing, could often be found enjoying classic western movies, and was known for his ability to light up a room with his dancing. He had a presence that was both strong and warm and was someone who could make you laugh, make you think, and make you feel at home all at once.
Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will remain in the hearts of many, and he will be deeply missed beyond measure. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Rader “Chicken” Brown, Lenton Brown, and Wayne “Bubeye” Brown.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his beloved wife of nearly 43 years, Kim Brown of Reidsville; his three sons, Glenn (Sadeshia) Brown, Jr., Kaylen (Yketha) Brown, Sr., and Zaquan Brown, Sr., all of Reidsville; his daughter, Christa (Travis Carter) Deloach of Reidsville; seventeen cherished grandchildren; his siblings, Cecelia (Rudolph) Carter, Betty C. Beal, Joyce A. Clay, Evelyn Lawson, Gary Brown, and Ruben Brown; his lifelong friend, Robert Guest; a special friend, Shakerra Carter; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matthew Joyce officiating.
Interment will follow at Sandhill Cemetery.
Low Country Cremation & Burial has the honor of serving the Brown family during their time of bereavement.
