Gloria Teigeler-Zuck

December 30, 1962 — April 15, 2026

Savannah

Gloria Christina Teigeler-Zuck, 63, daughter of the late Johannes J. Teigeler and Blanche N. Piper Teigeler, of Lakewood, NY, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Savannah, GA. Born on December 30, 1962, in Jamestown, NY, she graduated from Southwestern Central High School, Class of 1981. She studied art and graphic design at the La Jolla Academy of Advertising Arts, San Diego, CA, before getting married and settling in Busti, NY. She worked various jobs while also being self-employed.

Gloria was many things; daughter, sister, cousin, niece, friend, aunt, and wife. Her proudest role was mother to her children, Jacob J. Zuck and Jesstine R. Zuck, of Georgia. She adored them and was immensely proud of all they achieved.

She is survived by daughter-in-law Nashali and three grandchildren, Dennis, Vivian and Tanner; brother, Charles Teigeler, sister, Dawn (Bob) Teigeler, niece Laura (Joe) Walker, nephew Andrew (Maggie, fiancé) Teigeler; first cousins Paul (Diane) Piper, Ivonne (Dave) Joppen, Peter (Henjo) Hendriks, Theo (Lianne) Hendriks and Willy (Wim) van der Aalst and other loving family members. She was predeceased most recently by cousins Laurie and Cheryl Piper, her niece Jacqueline Teigeler and Aunt Jacqueline Hendriks.

An artist by training, Gloria loved to paint and acquired some creative talents from her beloved mother. She also took pride in her father’s Dutch heritage and desired to be nearer to her cousins in the Netherlands. Gloria was a hard worker, passionate, strong-willed, with deep inner faith. She loved people of all ages, animals, photography, music, nature, candy, skiing, the beach, and collecting shells, coins and jewelry. Her warmth, humor, and beautiful smile brightened many lives.

She faced significant challenges during her life. Complex challenges such as addiction, mental health, periods of estrangement, incarceration and homelessness. She did survive and in recent months, with the help of kind and compassionate people, she was getting back on her feet and there was renewed hope for recovery. Sadly, her health had been severely affected, and her heart could not function any longer.

Gloria deeply appreciated the kindness and generosity shown to her; it sustained her. She will be overjoyed as she is welcomed into the loving arms of all her precious angels who went before her. In her memory, may we show greater understanding and compassion to those facing hardship. In lieu of flowers, you may kindly consider making a donation to https://www.familypromisece.org/donate.

Gloria will be cremated and her ashes scattered near some of her favorite places. May Gloria rest in peace.
