Celebrating the life of Ms. Gwendolyn Beatty-Jackson

Gwendolyn Delouise Beatty entered into this world on May 3, 1956, to Eileen Daniels and Wayne Beatty in Ozark Alabama. She moved to Newark New Jersey at a young age. She met and married her husband Benjamin Jackson in 1978. Together they created their own family of two children, Coletta and Shulanda. She departed this earthly life on October 26, 2025.

The family moved to Collins Georgia in 1987. After her husband passed away, she remained in Collins. She worked at Ithaca Industries and Claxton Poultry for many years. Gwendolyn loved her family and everyone else. She never met a stranger. She always showed love, especially with her hugs and kisses even if you didn’t like that, she was gonna give them to you. She had a loving spirit and always showed it.

Gwendolyn loved to party and have a "good time” as she often called it. She loved playing her music, drinking her alcohol, and singing “hollering” in the yard. (lol). She was truly the life of the party! The party didn’t get started until Gwen got there.

Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Beatty and Eileen Daniels; spouse, Benjamin Jackson; daughter, Coletta Beatty-Davis; siblings, Maxcine Beatty, Johnell Beatty.

Gwendolyn is survived by her daughter, Shulanda Beatty; siblings, Marshall (Desiree) Beatty, Phillip (Wyndie) Beatty, Wayne Beatty, Jr., Robert (Keisha) Price, Pauline Beatty, Carolyn (Lee) Mitchell; grandchildren, Tykey Mack, Jr., Zariah Beatty, Corey Davis, Calvin Davis, and Camille Davis; Great grandchildren, Grayson Mack, Braylynn Mack, Autumn Mack, Emari Harrellson, Lay-Lani Sullivan, and Niveah Sullivan; a special friend, Mr. Willie Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Gwendolyn will always be a part of us and be the life of the party and forever missed.

Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Jackson family.
