Mr. Harvey Lee Jackson was born July 3, 1942, to Rena Collins and Lorraine Howard.  He departed this life on February 4, 2022, at Bellvue Hospital in New York at the age 79.  He was educated at Tattnall Industrial High School and would go on to work at Ruby’s Restaurant.  Afterwards, he ventured off and made a home in New York where he worked as a cook.  He would often return home to spend time with his family, cooking, fishing, and enjoying the much laughter and love.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Rena Collins McKinnon and Lorraine Howard, his grandmother, Rosa L. Jackson, two brothers, Ellaroe McKinnon and Kenneth McKinnon, and nephew, Anthony Brawn.

He leaves to cherish his memoires, two brothers, James (Willie) McKinnon and Ellis (Annette) McKinnon; four sisters, Boncella Brown, Geraldine Berry, Rosa (Daniel) Brewton, and Lesia Felder; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Sand Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Artis Carswell presiding and Evangelist Janice Johnson, eulogist.
