Brunswick

Heather Ilene Griffith, 26, passed away on May 9, 2026. Born on May 22, 1999, Heather brought light, laughter, and love to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Heather was a strong soul with a gentle heart. She was sweet, caring, compassionate, and at times delightfully ornery, a personality trait that made those around her smile and love her even more. Her kindness touched countless lives, and she was deeply loved by her family and many friends. She had a true passion for crocheting and found joy in creating handmade gifts for others, always giving pieces of her heart through her work. Heather also had a tremendous love for animals and shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Sophie, who was her faithful companion.

Heather is survived by her loving mother, Elizabeth (Alexander) Rossie of Brunswick, Georgia; her father, Robert (Stephanie) Griffith of Black River, New York; her great-grandmother, Janet Newburn of Douglas, Georgia; grandparents Chuck and Jackie Datoush of Black River, New York, Debra McDonald of Brunswick, Georgia, and Robert and Marsha Sargent of Papillion, Nebraska. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard Sargent of Brunswick, Georgia, and Robert Jr. Griffith of California; her sister, Ryleigh Rossie of Seattle, Washington; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Heather’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her — in every act of kindness, every handmade gift, and every animal loved with compassion. Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave will remain everlasting.

Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Griffith family.
