A vibrant soul and a consistent beacon of light, Hilda moved through the world with an effervescent joy and a heart rooted in her cultural, family and religious belief. Hilda Quinones, 83, of Savannah Ga passed peacefully on Palm Sunday March 29, 2026, returning to the Lord she served with unwavering faith throughout her long life. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico- Hilda Quiñones daughter of Ramon Medina and Maria Celina Guzman. She is predeceased by her siblings Hector Luis Medina, Esther Maria Cortez, Carmen Iris Sanchez. She is survived by her siblings Ferdinand Figueroa Jr., Yolanda Figueroa, Alfonso Figueroa and Orlando Figueroa.

Hilda was the beloved matriarch of a legacy comprised of three generations: Six children; Nelson Morales, Sandra I River, Carlos Quiñones Jr., Madeline Quiñones, Wilfred Quiñones and Leticia Quiñones. Nine grandchildren; Carlos Montero Jr., Antonio D Arzayus, Tiffany M Quiñones, Alfonso L Ramos, Alexander J Ramos, Deanna M Quiñones-Spellman, Michelle L Quiñones-Nelson, Danielle A Quiñones and Esmeraldo Rodriguez. Fifteen loving great-grandchildren.

Hilda was a longtime resident of New Jersey, who was the heartbeat of her family, a nurturing, empathetic, and selfless woman who spent her life pouring into the success and growth of those she loved with boundless patience. She was happiest when she was dancing, sharing a joke, or teaching her family the secrets of her traditional Puerto Rican cooking.

Hilda was a pillar of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Jersey, where she was a longtime member of the Ladies of Guadalupe group. Which serves the community offering many different services. She also volunteered at St. Francis Medical Hospital in New Jersey as a minister for the sick for many years. As she enjoyed serving others and made lifelong friends within the church and community. She was always first to put the needs of others above her own, and her vibrant energy and jovial nature ensured she will always be remembered. She leaves behind a family united by the traditions she taught them and the endless love she gave them.

On Friday, April 10, 2026, a Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Trenton, New Jersey, attended by immediate family members and members of the Guadalupan community. Following the service, a ceremony took place at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, where the urn containing the ashes of Hilda Quiñones were interred in a niche.
