Jack Otis Bacon, age 69, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jack Otis Bacon was born on January 17, 1956 to the late Dubb Bacon and Dollie Ann Bacon in Glennville, GA. Jack was the most sweetest, humble, loving, and hard working man you could ever meet. He always had the biggest smile. He was loved and admired by many. He was a devoted christian and he attended Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He worked for Merrill Durrence for many years before starting at Coastal Wood Products where he has been for the last 36 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dora Marie Bacon; three brothers, Matthew Bacon, Willie Lee Bacon and Leon Bacon; sister, Vickie Mincey; granddaughter, Shykilia Taft.

He leaves behind a loving wife of 25 years, Laura Bacon of Glennville; children, Rashon Bacon of Reidsville, Johnathan Bacon, Travis (Leawanna) Bacon of Atlanta, Jazmen (Eboney) Bacon, Tyatris Bacon, Skyler (Briana) Bacon all of Glennville; daughters Amber Smith of Ellabell, Sorana Bacon of Savannah, Ashlyn Bacon of Glennville and Tonya Daughtry of Florida; siblings, Percy (Regina) Bacon, Delanne (Raleigh) Bacon, Annie Jean (Anthony) Smith, Clarence Bostic, Gladys Renaee Bacon, Jeffrey Stephen Bacon, Shelia Berry and Shineka Ford; host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special nieces, Julisa (Marcel) Donahue, Whitley (Mike) McKenzie, Seterria McKenzie and Latavia (Mike) Smith.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You heard me say to you, I am going away and coming back to you. If you loved me, you will rejoice because I said, I am going to my father, For my father is greater than I. John 14 27-28

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Glennville First United Pentecostal Church with the Reverend Jerome Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Stoney Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Mobley, Marshall Broadhurst, James Grant, Sr., James Grant, Jr., Sherrod Harvey and Christopher Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be John Baxter, Wiley Baxter and nephews
