James Russell Strickland, Jr.

James Russell Strickland, Jr., 73, passed away Friday, August 13th, 2021, at Memorial Health in Savannah. Jimmy was a long time member of Bible Baptist Church in Savannah and served on the Board of Deacons twice.  He loved college football and was looking forward to the coming UGA Bulldog season.  He loved his Lord and his family and his church above all else. He will be missed until the trumpet sounds and we all are together again.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Bevill Strickland, his son James Nicholas Strickland,(Sue), a grandson, Ethan Williams of St. Simons Island, two beautiful granddaughters that he spent most of his time spoiling, Kimberly Annah Marie Strickland and Alice Victoria Link Strickland, his father, James Russell Strickland, Sr.(Judy), a sister, Suzanne Smith, (Jeff). Two beloved nephews, Luke Smith,(Katherine) and Benjamin Smith, and several great nieces and nephews and cousins.  Also a brother-in-law, David Bevill, (Shelly), a neice, Caitlin Bevill, (Daniel), a nephew, Adam Bevill,(Meghan.)

The family is planning a memorial service to be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, 11:00 am, Bible Baptist Church, Savannah.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is in charge of the cremation services for Mr. Strickland.
