Janie Fillmore Golden, age 71, was born June 4, 1951 in Glennville, GA to the parents of Claude and Charity Fillmore.  She departed this life Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia, GA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Edward Golden; a daughter, Betty Ann Golden; her sisters, Theresta Ann Walcott, Ada Viola Fillmore; brothers, Ronnie Carter and Benjamin Fillmore.

At some point in her life, she worked at Mascot Pecan Company for two years, and then a homemaker and helped her daughter at The Lavaeah Heavenly Childcare, where she won a lot of little hearts.

Mrs. Janie is survived by her five children, Wanda (Charlie) Robinson, Claude Fillmore, James (Sharhonda) Golden, Robert (Torri) Golden, and Rodney (Kiara) Golden; sisters, Felicia Fair, Delrea (Michael) McCray, Claudia Fillmore, Jaquneta Fillmore; brothers, Charlie Fillmore, Maurice Fillmore, and Adrian (Elizabeth) Smith; grandchildren, Desiree’ (Mark) Greene, Gylisa Golden, LaVeah Golden, Tristen Golden, Ja Kayden Golden, Kamoria Golden, Brianna Golden, Rodney Golden Jr., Shayrea Goldren, Tiffany Robinson, Domiongue Robinson, and A’layaih McCleanon; 6 aunts and uncles; special friends, Cory Lee Robinson, and Mary Eason, special special son in law, Charlie Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Glennville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Roberts Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Grant Jr., Kaumane Grant, William Bacon, Willie Bacon, Otis Bacon, Damia Bacon, Nicholas Fillmore, Christopher Davis, Cedrick Bacon and Octavius Fillmore.
