Joyce Mae Jones "Dolla Bill" was a dedicated employee of the Claxton Poultry Farms, where she served diligently until her retirement in 1999. Before her tenure at Claxton Poultry, Joyce worked at the Roydon Wear Factory, showcasing her work ethic and determination throughout her career.

Born on November 11, 1945, in her beloved hometown of Reidsville, GA, Joyce had a deep connection to her community. She cherished the memories and values that stemmed from growing up in this close-knit town. It was here that she developed a strong sense of family and an unwavering faith.

Joyce's life was filled with a multitude of interests and hobbies. She found solace and joy in tending to her garden, where she cultivated beauty and nurtured life amidst the flowers. Fishing was another passion through which she found peace and tranquility. Whether casting her line into calm waters or singing melodies to uplift her spirit, Joyce embraced simple pleasures that brought happiness to her soul.

Moreover, Joyce's commitment to spirituality played an integral role in her life. She found solace within the walls of the church, where she could express her faith alongside kindred spirits. Attending services and immersing herself in religious teachings offered her solace and bestowed upon her a sense of purpose.

On August 2, 2023, Joyce Mae Jones passed away peacefully at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered by those who loved her dearly.

A heartwarming funeral service was  held at the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Reidsville on August 12, 2023. 

In her passing, Joyce Mae Jones has reunited with loved ones who preceded her. She now joins her loving husband, Willie H. Jones (Deebo), along with a cherished daughter, parents Eddie Byrd and Lila Smith Boyd, and siblings Janie Walker, Vass Manning, and Bobby Futch. 

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love that extends through generations. She is survived by her seven children: Sheila (Richard) Wheeler of Lithonia, GA; Paul Brewton of Lyons, GA; Hilda Fay (Calvin) Walker of Lyons, GA; Cledis (Tasha) Brewton of Statesboro, GA; Terrell Brewton of Lyons, GA; Emmy Jones-Williams of Reidsville, GA; and Ladasha Fields of Reidsville, GA. Her siblings Rosa Mae (Melvin) Browder of Reidsville, GA; Gloria (Lucas) Glenn of Atlanta, GA; Charles (Janice) Smith of Atlanta, GA; Ricky Boyd of Reidsville, GA 

Joyce leaves an impactful legacy through the lives she touched deeply. With 33 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren who adored her dearly, Joyce's presence continues to resonate through the bonds she formed within her family. Additionally, she leaves behind countless nieces and nephews who were blessed to have her as an aunt, as well as numerous other beloved relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
