Juanita (Phillips) Kersey

Obituary
Juanita Kersey, age 56 of Lyons passed away Monday,
January 31, 2011 at Savannah Hospice after a long illness.
The Lyons native was raised in Houston, TX and had lived
in Lyons since 1995. She loved to fish, knit, and crochet and
attended the Oakland Baptist Church. She is preceded in death
by her father Herman Phillips; mother Iona Phillips; maternal
grandparents Gertrude and Henry Koonce; and paternal
grandparents Norvell and Rena Phillips.
Survived by her husband, Mickey Tennson Kersey of Lyons. Son,
Herman Jesse Phillips of Hazlehurst. One Brother, Larry Phillips of
Magnolia, Texas. Three Sisters, Connie Hamby of Harbor, Oregon,
Debra Blakely of Cabot, Arkansas, Delores Grant of Baxley, Georgia.
Seven nieces and nephews, Christina Hamby of Harbor, Oregon,
Frank Hamby of Harbor, Oregon, Lawanda Martin of Tomball, Texas,
Larry Philips Jr. of Tomball, Texas, Lorretta Fritznian of Martinsburg,
West Virginia, Aaron Burnham of Hazlehurst, Georgia, Toby Dellette
of Houston, Texas.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Bradley B. Anderson
Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Bradley B.
Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel. Internment will follow at the Rocky Creek
Baptist Church Cemetery in Lyons, Georgia.
Preferred Charities and Donations
Memorials may be given to Hospice Savannah, 1352 Eisenhower Dr. Savannah, GA 31406
