Judy Lynn Smith Sikes, age 74, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Tattnall Healthcare in Reidsville.  She was born in Statesboro on October 1, 1950, to John David and Vidella Miller Smith and had lived in Savannah for many years before making her home in Collins 32 years ago. She lived a life characterized by dedication and love, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Judy worked as a manager at several convenience stores, with her final position being at Charlie's in Collins, from which she retired. Her hard work and commitment to her career were reflective of her character, earning her respect within the community.

Judy was known for her vibrant personality and passionate interests. A devoted fan of NASCAR, she took great delight in watching races, especially those featuring her favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. This enthusiasm for racing was just a part of what made her unique. Additionally, Judy possessed a remarkable talent in the kitchen; her cooking brought joy and comfort to family gatherings, reinforcing the bonds of love she fostered within her family.

One of Judy's proudest accomplishments was her unwavering dedication to her grandchildren. She cherished each moment spent taking care of them and loved being an integral part of their lives. Her affection and nurturing spirit will be profoundly missed.

She was of the Mormon faith and is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ray Smith, Charlie Smith, Sarah Hendrix, and Hilda Sellers.

Judy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Buford "Goonie" Sikes of Collins; her children, Keith (Diane) Sikes of Pooler and Chris (Shannon) Thomas of Cobbtown; siblings, Danny (Ann) Smith of Blitchton, and Donna (Gene) Underwood of Meldrim; grandchildren, James Sellers of Vidalia, Cassie Sikes of Rincon, Addison Sikes of Pooler; great grandchildren, Herschel Sellers, Mia Sellers, and Aleister Sellers all of Vidalia; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from the hours of 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
