Kimberly Sanders King, age 46, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026. The Tattnall County native was born on November 13, 1979, to Wendell and Kathy Sanders and had lived in Reidsville most of her life.  Kimberly lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and an enduring commitment to those around her.

Kimberly was a devoted professional who served the Department of Corrections with distinction for 23 years. Much of her career was spent as a Pharmacy Technician at Georgia State Prison, where her meticulous care and expertise were a great asset. In her later years, Kimberly took on the role of Correctional Officer, continuing her steadfast service with honor and integrity.

A proud graduate of Tattnall County High School in 1998, Kimberly carried forward the values instilled during those formative years throughout her personal and professional life. Described by those who knew her as having a heart of gold, she never met a stranger and consistently put others before herself. Her selfless nature and genuine warmth left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to cross her path.

Kimberly cherished the moments spent with her beloved husband, Eddie, sharing a love for hunting and fishing that brought them countless joyous experiences. She was also passionate about gathering with family and friends, and her love of cooking shone through as she delighted in preparing meals that brought everyone together.

Kimberly was of the Pentecostal faith and is preceded in death by her, grandparents, Milo Sanders and Gladys Willis Pittman, Paul Walter Nix, and Ina Lee Souther Nix; mother-in-law, Donna King; his sister-in-law, Dawn King and a brother-in-law, Eric King.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Eddie King of Reidsville; her children, Shayna Lee (Jordan) King Smith, Elijah King, and Koda King (Kylee) all of Reidsville; parents, Wendell and Kathy Sanders of Reidsville; siblings, Michael Todd Willis, Donnie Shane (Canda) Arnold, and Christy (Don) Warren all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Libby, Jenson, and Ellie Smith, Paisley and Bohdi-Khade King; father in law, Eddie H. King II of Reidsville; nieces and nephews; Amber Brantley, Lindsey Willis, Jonathan Willis, Lance Willis, Nealy Vinson, Stephen Arnold, Kaeden Arnold, Kaylee-Ann Arnold, Joshua Kennedy, Jacob Kennedy, and Morgan Durrence; several aunts, uncles, cousins and host of friends.

The community will honor Kimberly’s life with a visitation on April 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Low Country Cremation & Burial. A funeral service will follow the next day, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Collins Full Gospel on Pearl Street in Collins, GA with Rev. Andrew Nelms officiating.  Interment will be in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane Arnold, Jacob Duffany, Randall Kirkland, Brice Pound, Bart Dutton, and James Halford. The honor guard from the Georgia Department of Corrections and the Patriot Guard will participate in the service.

Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Sanders-King family.
