Leon Leroy Gillett, III

Low Country Cremation and Burial announce the death of Leon Gillett, age 55 of Lyons who passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was born on May 1, 1968 in Gainesville, Florida to Leon, Jr. and Val Jean White Gillett. He grew up in Key West, Homestead and Miami, Florida. Leon was an avid lover of boats, water, NASCAR, classic cars, music and all of his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Donny Webb, Jr.

He is survived by his best friend and life partner of 25 years, Angela Shedlowski of Lyons; daughter, Angel (Brian) Clements; sister, Denise (Don, Sr.) Webb; brother, Allen (Connie) Ellis; nieces, Erika (Nicholas) Hughes and Jessie Ellis; great-nephews, Joseph Barber, III, Nicholas Hughes, Jr, Logan Hughes and Cameron Webb; great-niece, Ariabella; grandsons, Kaleb Austell, Leland Shedlowski, Lucas Ussery, Levi Clements and Timothy Covington; granddaughters, Dorian Smith, Jorja Bracewell, Anna Abbey, Sophyra Clements, Delilah Clements, Kristin Clements; great-grandchild, Ava.

Services will be held at a later date.
