Leona "Granny Coot" McHrer

February 9, 1939 — April 25, 2011

Leona "Granny Coot" McHrer age 72 passed away Monday April 25, 2011 at her residence under hospice care.  The Savannah native had lived in California most of her life.  She was a  social worker and loved to play bingo and black jack. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Clark.

She is survived by two sons and daughter in law, Ricky and Penny Woodcock of Reidsville, Billy Cheatam of California; two daughters, Jacklyn and Steven Cobb of Montana, Kimberly Hoffman of Savannah; Three brothers and sisters in law, Gene and Liz Cobb of Alabama, Pete and Penny Cobb of Garden City and Jim and Pernail Cobb of Midway; fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation and Funeral Services

Funeral services will take place Saturday April 30, 2011 at 11:00am from the Reidsville Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Stoney Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will recieve friends on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm at the Reidsville Chapel.

Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel is serving the McHrer family.
