Linda Kay Tew, age 73, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at Hospice of South Georgia in Jesup, Georgia, after a long battle with heart failure.
Linda was born on October 6, 1952, in Winter Haven, Florida. She was raised in Ocala, where she graduated from Ocala High School. In 1989, she made Georgia her home, where she built a life centered around her family and faith.
A devoted member of Covenant Church, Linda was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those around her. She had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and never alone.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Ricky; her mother and father; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Linda leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her loving brother, Ron Stalvey (Beth) – Jacksonville, FL; her two sons, Jeffery Tew – East Hampton, NY and Randall Tew (Nicole Martin) – Alma, GA; her four daughters, Betty Furlow – Kingsland, GA, Aundria Tew – Jesup, GA, Jennifer Parrott (Bryan) – Cairo, GA, and Ronda Tew – Jesup, GA; and her stepson, John Eldridge Jr. – Ocala, FL.
She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Jeremy White – Cairo, GA; Brylee Strickland (Coleman) – Tallahassee, FL; Jonathan Furlow – Kingsland, GA; Lizi Richardson (Quan Mickens) – Cairo, GA; Amelia Tew – Tallahassee, FL; Remington Tew – Jesup, GA; Chris White – Cairo, GA; and Piper Tew – Jesup, GA; and one great-granddaughter, Kailana Mickens – Cairo, GA.
She is also survived by her beloved cousins, Marylin Sue Jackson-Lee – Ocala, FL, and Barbara Gail Clevenger – Winter Haven, FL. Together, they shared a very special bond—more than cousins, they were best friends, a true dynamic trio whose love and connection will forever be remembered.
A special and heartfelt recognition is given to her daughter, Ronda Tew – Jesup, GA, whose unwavering love, sacrifice, and devotion as her caregiver over the past several years brought comfort, dignity, and peace to Linda’s life. Her selflessness and dedication will forever be a testament to a daughter’s love.
Linda will be remembered for her love of family, her faith, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. Though she is no longer with us, her love remains—guiding and comforting those she leaves behind.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, with Minister Guyvie Lee Beasley officiating.
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Tew family.
