Lisa Carver Parijs

Lisa Carver Parijs, age 67, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah. Born on October 10, 1958, in Savannah, Georgia, to Ira Vernon Carver Jr. and Diana Symons, Lisa spent her life in the Savannah area and worked in customer service before her retirement.

While there are many ways a life can be measured, Lisa’s was perhaps best measured by the love she shared with her family. She was a devoted wife and loving mother whose greatest legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

For 37 years, Lisa shared her life with her husband, Mitchel Parijs, who lovingly describes her as the love of his life. Through all the years and all the changes that life brought their way, they shared a simple tradition that belonged especially to the two of them—four kisses. Those four kisses became a familiar expression of their love for one another, shared throughout their 37 years together, and they will forever remain among Mitchel’s most treasured memories of the woman he loved.

Lisa was also a loving mother to her two children, Jonathon Roberson and Amber Roberson. The love she gave as a wife and mother, the moments shared together, and the countless memories created over the years now become treasured pieces of a life that her family will carry with them always.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Mitchel Parijs; her son, Jonathon Roberson; her daughter, Amber Roberson; and other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by hers.

No formal services will be held. Instead, Lisa’s family will honor her life by cherishing her endless love and the countless memories made together along life’s journey.
