Vidalia

Lisa Riggs, age 52, passed away at her residence in Vidalia on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, under the care of Community Hospice. Born on November 13, 1973, in Savannah, Lisa lived in Hagan for many years before moving to Reidsville, then to Vidalia three years ago.

From an early age, Lisa demonstrated a remarkable drive, which shone through during her years at Claxton High School. Graduating in 1992, she distinguished herself not only academically but as a formidable athlete. Her talent on the softball field earned her Allstate-Allstar honors, and her dedication did not go unnoticed; she achieved the rare distinction of being offered a position to play ball in the Olympics.

Later in life, Lisa served as a general manager for Sizemore Security, before earning the role as Client Service Manager at Garda World. There she showed remarkable leadership, always advocating fiercely for her employees and earning a reputation as someone who would fight tooth and nail for you.

Beyond her professional and athletic accomplishments, Lisa never ceased her pursuit of learning, always working on a new certificate or skill. She was known to be a force of nature, as well as caring and kind. Lisa cherished spending time with family, going to the gun range, and maintained a lifelong love for softball. Those who knew Lisa can attest to her unwavering loyalty, her willingness to champion the people she cared about, and her deep sense of responsibility to those around her.

Lisa is preceded in death by her Daddy, Charles Riggs; grandmothers, Mattie Lou Conley and Claire Riggs.

She is survived by her loving wife, Sherry Riggs; her beautiful daughter, Loran "Wee-Wee" Riggs; grandson, Jayce "Meme's Little Guy" Riggs; her strong sister, Amy Ray; niece, Allie "Fred" Ray; many aunts, uncles, and cousins which she had fond memories growing up; brother-in-law, Timmy Ray; and mother, Betty Sue.

A private service will be held to honor Mrs. Lisa Riggs.

Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Riggs family.
