Marcus Jerome Pace, at the tender age of 53, transitioned to his final resting place on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton, GA. He was born to the late Calvin and Virginia ‘Virgie’ Pace on March 16, 1970, in Magnolia, AR.

Marcus received his education from McNeil High School which was in McNeil, AR. Soon after graduating at the ripe age of 18, Marcus began his military career in the Navy before transitioning to the Army.  After Several years of service, he was honorably discharged.  On March 30, 1991, Marcus married the love of his life Demetria.  Their earthly union stood the test of time and exhibited thirty-two years of happily ever after.  He joined Early View AME Church in McNeil, AR at an early age where he received his biblical foundation and later attended Jonesville Baptist Church and then Community Bible Church with his wife in Beaufort, SC.

Marcus loved the Lord, his wife, his family, and his friends.   He was loved by all who knew him.  Everyone who spent time with him enjoyed his company, light-hearted laugh, and the wisdom he shared.

Marcus leaves a great legacy through those who loved him and the people he loved…his wife Demetria; Sisters: Melody Rone (Danny) of McNeil, AR, LuShearin (James) Butler of Milwaukee, WI; Brothers: Donnell Pace of Junction City AR, Donald Pace of Stephens, AR, Wallace Roberson of Magnolia, AR, and a legion of Sisters-in-law, Brothers-in-law, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Family, and Friends.

Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am on Friday, June 23, 2023 at The Glennville Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm in the Chapel with Dr. Joshua Stone officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors rendered by the US Army.
