Marjorie Edith Epperley, age 85 of Springfield went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Amedisys Hospice. She was born on November 25, 1939 in Buchanan, Michigan to Joseph and Edith Trapp Liska. She had lived in Tucson, Arizona for most of her life before moving to Springfield in 2021. Ms. Marjorie was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona. In her spare time, she loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Frank Epperley of Springfield; children, Kenneth (Tracey) Epperley of Springfield and Dorinda (Gene) Bentley of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Beau (Brooke) Bentley, Brad (Kayla) Bentley, Savannah (Adam) Barron, Amanda Epperley, Jeremiah Epperley and Benjamin Epperley; great-grandchildren, McKenna Bentley and Jocelyn Bentley; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Epperley officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
