Michael Hayden Bailey

Michael Hayden Bailey of St. Mary’s, GA, age 83, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026. He was born Tuesday, March 23, 1943 in Charleston, WV. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard of West Virginia from 1964 to 1970, and a member of the United Methodist Church of Point Pleasant, WV. An iron worker by profession throughout most of his life, Michael was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loved the outdoors (especially camping and fishing). He is preceded in death by his parents, Eva Marie Bailey (Hager) and Arnold Hayden Bailey.

A loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Michael is survived by his wife, Dottie Jean Bailey (Woomer), whom he was with for over 50 years; his six children: Chad Bailey, Sheryll (Bailey) Hammer, Chris Bailey, Scott Bailey, Carol (Bailey) Fuller, and Brad Wilt; eight grandchildren: Anna, Valerie, Ethan, Hollie, Josh, Conner, Mason, and Bailey; and three great grandchildren: Colt, Lydia, and Hudson. He will be deeply missed by all.
