Michael Guinup

December 31, 1961 — March 26, 2026

Michael Paul Guinup, 64, entered into rest on March 26, 2026. Michael passed on a peaceful, warm day, surrounded by love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marty Guinup, and his mother, Harriett McKenzie. His memory and love live on through his devoted wife, Tara Guinup; his siblings, Anne D’Anci (Scott) and Mark Guinup (Jeanice); his children, Jamie Alexander (Kellie), Gina Guinup, and Jon Guinup (Dallas); his stepchildren, Daniel Ruddy (Grace) and David Ruddy (Sarah); and his grandchildren, Sophia and Lucas. He was dearly loved by his mother-in-law, Christie Adams, and by many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael loved, above all else, loving those around him. He spent his days in contented peace, fishing, worshiping The Lord, perfecting his project vehicles, and spending time among his beloved friends and family.

Michael served in the United States Air Force, of which started him upon a lifetime pursuit of stories and an unfaltering gift for sharing the curiosities that his Lord has granted him.

He spent his life alongside his devoted and loving wife, in the pursuit of happiness and blissful reserve.

Michael maintained his trademark peaceful and selfless nature until the end of his earthly time. He was, and will always be, deeply loved by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
