Michelle Volcy-Bacon, age 42, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1979 in Hinesville to Jacques and Ella Mae Williams Volcy and had lived in Ludowici most of her life before moving to Glennville 3 years ago. She had graduated in 1998 from Long County High School and from Altamaha Technical College. Michelle was employed with DSI as their account manager over security at Chemtal INC in Riceboro. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially with her granddaughter. Michelle attended White Pines Holiness Church and is preceded in death by her mother, and her brothers, Michael Williams and Pierre Volcy.
She is survived by her husband, William “Tiny” Bacon of Glennville; her children, Deondrae Volcy and Meleisha Holmes both of Glennville; her father, Jacques Pierre Volcy of Hollywood, FL; her siblings, Jean Lovely of Jacksonville, FL, Cheryl Harris of Long County, Georgette (Tootie) Bacon of Long County, and Jacques (Christy) Volcy of Hollywood, Fl; her granddaughter, Amelia Volcy of Glennville; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2022 from the hours of 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home.
The family asked that you wear your Georiga Bulldog attire to the funeral service.
