Norman Levi Hussey

Norman Levi Hussey, age 69, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. A lifelong resident of Tattnall County, Levi was born on January 17, 1957, to the late Feldon Hussey and Velma Jean Layne Hussey. Following his graduation, he began his career in sales with Bob Beard Ford, where he excelled and rose to the position of Sales Manager.

Later in life, Levi chose a more hands on path and went to work in underground construction. During this time, he played a role in laying some of the first fiber optic cables in the Augusta area and at Fort Stewart. While working in construction, he sustained severe injuries that ultimately led to his medical retirement. In addition to his parents, Levi is preceded in death by three brothers, Van Jerry Hussey, Junior Glenn Hussey, and James Charles McBride.

He is survived by his daughter, Carmen Jean Hussey; one brother, Walter (Faye) Hussey; two sisters, Sherry (Larry) Moody and Mavis Kicklighter; two nephews, Thomas Keith Reynolds and Shannon (Krish) Reynolds; two nieces, Crystal (Rusty) Reardon and Jessica Kicklighter; as well as several other relatives and friends.
