Olga Hernandez Morales, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Optim Medical Center Tattnall following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 1, 1971, in Bejucal de Ocampo, Chiapas, México, to Jacobo Hernandez and Delina Morales, she came to America at a young age with hopes and dreams of building a life filled with opportunity, family, and faith.

Olga possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong work ethic. For many years, she operated her own bakery business, becoming especially known for her delicious traditional Mexican sweet bread, which she personally delivered from home to home. More than simply a business, it was another way for Olga to connect with people and share something she loved with those around her.

At the center of Olga’s life was her family. She was happiest when caring for the people she loved and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her generous nature, however, extended far beyond her own family. Olga was known as someone who could be counted on whenever there was a need. Whether someone asked for a small favor or needed assistance that could truly change the course of their life, she was willing to help however she could. Her kindness and compassion touched countless lives throughout the years.

Olga also found great joy in the simple beauty of life around her. She loved tending to her flowers and caring for her plants, taking pride in watching them grow and flourish. Her caring nature extended to her many animals as well. She loved taking care of her pets, including her chickens, turkeys, dogs, and cats, each of which held a special place in her heart.

Above all else, Olga was devoted to her Lord and Savior. A devout Christian and faithful member of Metter Hispanic Seventh Day Adventist Church, her faith was not something she simply professed; it was something she sought to live each day. Olga had a deep desire to teach others about God and to share His love with those around her through her testimony, her words, and, most importantly, her actions. She wanted others to know the love of God that meant so much to her, and she demonstrated that love through her generosity, compassion, and willingness to serve others. Her trust in the Lord remained an important source of strength throughout her courageous journey with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jacobo Hernandez, and a son, Armando Ruedas Hernandez.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is her beloved husband, Eliseo Valier Lopez of Reidsville; her mother, Delina Hernandez Morales Roblero; a son, Juan Valier Hernandez of Reidsville; four daughters, Deysi Jasmine (Adulfo) Ruedas Hernandez of California, Zaira Laparra of Claxton, Kelly (Omar) Hernandez of South Carolina, and Isabel (Angel) Rosales Hernandez of Reidsville; three precious grandchildren, Leslie, Yoseline, and Kaylanni; six brothers; two sisters; and numerous other relatives and countless friends who were blessed by her kindness, generosity, faith, and friendship.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial with Pastor Jose Medina officiating.

Interment will follow the conclusion of the funeral service at Reidsville City Cemetery.

Olga Hernandez Morales, de 55 años de edad, falleció el martes 11 de agosto de 2026 en Optim Medical Center Tattnall, después de una larga y valiente lucha contra el cáncer. Nació el 1 de junio de 1971 en Bejucal de Ocampo, Chiapas, México, hija de Jacobo Hernandez y Delina Morales. Siendo aún joven, llegó a los Estados Unidos con sueños y esperanzas de construir una vida llena de oportunidades, amor por su familia y fe en Dios.

Olga fue una mujer emprendedora y muy trabajadora. Durante muchos años tuvo su propio negocio de panadería, llegando a ser especialmente conocida por su delicioso pan dulce tradicional mexicano, el cual ella misma llevaba y entregaba de casa en casa. Para Olga, aquello era mucho más que un negocio; era también una manera de convivir con las personas y compartir con los demás algo que preparaba con mucho cariño.

La familia siempre ocupó el lugar principal en la vida de Olga. Su mayor felicidad era cuidar y atender a las personas que amaba, y fue una esposa, madre, abuela, hija, hermana y amiga entregada a los suyos. Sin embargo, su corazón generoso iba mucho más allá de su propia familia. Olga era de esas personas con las que siempre se podía contar cuando alguien tenía una necesidad. No importaba si se trataba de un pequeño favor o de brindar una ayuda capaz de cambiar la vida de alguien; si estaba en sus manos ayudar, lo hacía de todo corazón. A lo largo de los años, su bondad y compasión dejaron una huella imborrable en la vida de muchas personas.

Olga también encontraba una gran alegría en las cosas sencillas y hermosas de la vida. Le encantaba cuidar sus flores y atender sus plantas, disfrutando mucho verlas crecer y florecer. Ese mismo cariño lo tenía por sus animales. Disfrutaba cuidar de sus gallinas, guajolotes, perros y gatos, y cada uno de ellos ocupaba un lugar especial en su corazón.

Por encima de todo, Olga fue una mujer entregada a su Señor y Salvador. Cristiana devota y miembro fiel de la Iglesia Adventista Hispana del Séptimo Día de Metter, su fe no era solamente algo que profesaba con palabras, sino algo que procuraba vivir cada día. Olga tenía un profundo deseo de enseñar a otros acerca de Dios y compartir Su amor con quienes la rodeaban por medio de su testimonio, sus palabras y, sobre todo, sus acciones. Deseaba que los demás conocieran ese amor de Dios que significaba tanto para ella, y lo demostraba con su generosidad, su compasión y su disposición para servir y ayudar al prójimo. Su confianza en el Señor fue una fuente constante de fortaleza durante su larga y valiente lucha contra el cáncer.

Olga fue precedida en la muerte por su padre, Jacobo Hernandez, y por su hijo, Armando Ruedas Hernandez.

Quedan para honrar su memoria y atesorar toda una vida de recuerdos su amado esposo, Eliseo Valier Lopez de Reidsville; su madre, Delina Hernandez Morales Roblero; su hijo, Juan Valier Hernandez de Reidsville; sus cuatro hijas, Deysi Jasmine (Adulfo) Ruedas Hernandez de California, Zaira Laparra de Claxton, Kelly (Omar) Hernandez de Carolina del Sur e Isabel (Angel) Rosales Hernandez de Reidsville; sus tres queridos nietos, Leslie, Yoseline y Kaylanni; seis hermanos; dos hermanas; además de numerosos familiares y una gran cantidad de amigos que fueron bendecidos por su bondad, generosidad, fe y amistad.

La familia recibirá a familiares y amigos el domingo 16 de agosto de 2026, de 1:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m., en la capilla de Low Country Cremation & Burial.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el lunes 17 de agosto de 2026, comenzando a las 10:00 a.m. en la capilla de Low Country Cremation & Burial, con el Pastor Jose Medina oficiando.

Al concluir el servicio funeral, Olga será llevada a su lugar de descanso final en el Cementerio de la Ciudad de Reidsville.
