Omar Gomez-Ibanez

Omar Gomez-Ibanez, age 42 of Ludowici passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1984 to Salvadore Gomez and Elisa Ibanez.  Omar was a native of Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico and had lived in the Glennville area for 21 years. He worked in the construction industry and was of the Catholic faith. His hobbies included playing soccer and riding around in his "Oldies" truck. Omar was a friend to many and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Gomez of Ludowici; his children, Madison Gomez, Derek Gomez, Leilany Gomez, Brylee Gomez, and Victoria Gomez all of Ludowici; parents, Salvadore Gomez and Elisa Ibanez of Mexico; siblings, Yair Gomez of Ludowici, Yadira Gomez, Israel Gomez, Xotchil Gomez, Miriam Gomez and Martha Gomez all of Mexico; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2026 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 3, 2026  from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with Father Vincente Terrazas officiating. Interment will be in Glennville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Yair Gomez, Shane White, Keith Ross, Uriel Castro, Alejandro Herrera Ruiz and Joel Ortiz.
