Patricia Ann Lange

March 19, 1947 – March 9, 2025

Patricia Ann Lange, lovingly known as “Little Patty” and “Yia-Yia,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC. She was 77 years old.

Pat was born in Baltimore, MD, and grew up in Dundalk, MD. She attended Dundalk High School, went on to attend the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and earned her graduate degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Causley (1986) and Fern Causley (1968), who are laid to rest in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Baltimore, MD. Pat was married to Bob Lange from 1969 to 2000, raising four children together: Tiffany (Christina), Lara, Shawn (Amy), and Justin (Doris). She first met Walter (Bo) White, her beloved partner, while attending Dundalk High School, and their paths reconnected later in life. Pat and Bo spent over a dozen years together living in South Carolina, where she was a member of the Sun City Hilton Head community. She is survived by her children and five cherished grandchildren: Abram, Baker, Finn, Joni, and Charlie. Pat also enjoyed a special friendship with Bo’s daughter, Amanda, and her partner, Ruggero. She will be missed by all.

Before pursuing her career, Pat was devoted to raising her children, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Later, she committed herself to social work in Baltimore County, where her dedication and compassion improved countless lives. Pat excelled in Toastmasters, earning great respect for her eloquence, confidence, and leadership in public speaking. She was also deeply involved in the Dale Carnegie program, through which she refined her communication and interpersonal skills.

A woman of class and style, Pat was always impeccably dressed and had an eye for fashion. She had a special affinity for owls and loved her cherished collection of owl keepsakes. Pat enjoyed traveling, especially when it meant spending time with her children and grandchildren. Being with them brought her the most happiness. Pat was a gifted gardener, bringing botanical beauty to every place she lived. And no visit to a loved one’s home was complete without her instinctively tidying the kitchen—her subtle but heartfelt way of showing love.

Pat found great comfort in her faith and was a devoted member of Grace Fellowship Church in Timonium, MD. She was a woman of quiet strength, genuine warmth, and an independent spirit—qualities she instilled in her children and demonstrated daily. Pat moved through life with grace and lightheartedness, finding joy in both the meaningful and the everyday—whether through thoughtful conversations or the simple pleasure of dancing in the kitchen.

A special thanks to the compassionate medical team and caregivers at Coastal Carolina Hospital for their kindness and support during her final days.
